Pink Jumpsuit and Jeweled Earrings

Needless to say, it has been a whirlwind of a month. Those of you who have been following along know that Sam and I got married a couple weeks ago in the Canadian Rockies. It was an absolute fairy-tale in every sense of the expression. We are still pinching ourselves and saying, "Did that really happen?" Celebrating our marriage with our closest family and friends in the most beautiful place we have ever visited is an experience that even I have a difficult time putting into words.

We were blessed on this trip in countless ways and it was an emotional time for everyone. At one point, Sam whispered to me, "Okay, we have got to get it together and stop crying." The happy tears were flowing, and the entire week in Lake Louise was filled with love and adventure; from hikes in the National Parks, to whitewater rafting on the river, late night dips in 39 degree water, and dancing at the hotel bar to live music.

After almost 2 weeks away, we are home and settling back into our normal routine. I have been putting my energy into decorating the house, testing new recipes, and catching up on work. We had our first meal at home as husband and wife the other night and it was such a special moment. It makes me so excited for the coming season and all of our "first's" we will get to experience as newlyweds.

I will have our full wedding post up on the blog in early September, but in the meantime I wanted to share our rehearsal/welcome party looks from the evening before.

Aside from our wedding day itself (because obviously I already took a peek!), these photos are my favorite to date. Looking at them now, I can feel how happy and excited we were. It was our second day in Canada and, although my schedule was packed with last-minute walk through's and my beauty trials, the scenery had a way of forcing us to slow down and take it all in. We woke up early that morning and hiked around Lake Louise with some of our friends and family before sending them on their way to explore the rest of the park of their own.

After my trial at the Fairmont Chateau with a picture-perfect view overlooking the lake, we met up with Jade from  Jade Nikkole Photography to take some photos before our wedding rehearsal. Throughout the shoot, we could not stop giggling and looking at each other and the lake in awe. We were standing only a few feet away from where we were set to get married the next morning. The feeling was pure happiness. We had waited for this moment for 7 years and there were no doubts in our minds that we were ready.

Following the rehearsal, we walked with our bridal party and families to a log cabin by the lake where we hosted our "Welcome Party" for our guests outside. The party was complete with bonfire pits, appetizers, and cocktails. It was relaxed and cozy, just the way that Sam and I had envisioned.

Now for the look: I couldn't have been happier with the pink jumpsuit I picked out for our rehearsal and welcome party. The fit was absolute perfection (without any alterations, which is rare for me), and the color was obviously on brand. It also gets brownie points for being less than $65; gotta love a wedding expense that isn't actually expensive! It was the perfect piece for helping me feel extra feminine and sexy the night before our wedding. I wanted something a bit nontraditional and I was torn between a two-piece top and skirt set, and a jumpsuit, and I am SO glad that I went with this option. It was super comfortable for walking around the lake and goofing off with our guests at the party.

I paired the jumpsuit with custom Rachel Mulherin jeweled, drop earrings (which I am obsessed with) and a pair of simple, open toe heels. When the temperature dropped a bit in the evening, I wrapped a chunky, blush pink scarf (under $35) around my shoulders to keep me cozy.

I linked a few of my other favorite pink jumpsuits and heel options for this look at the bottom of the post!
