Fall Under $50 Blanket Scarves and Vests

One of my favorite Fall traditions each year is heading to our local orchard to pick apples! It started as a fun activity to spend time with my closest girlfriends. However, since moving 200 miles from home, Sam has learned to embrace it as well (although… I may or may not have bribed him with fresh apple cider donuts from the Farm this year).

I am personally a huge fan of the honeycrisp apple variety, and there’s just something about picking them straight off the tree yourself that is so satisfying. You know exactly where they are coming from and you get to support your local orchard and Farmers at the same time.

But, you want to know what I look forward to most? Selfishly, my favorite part about this annual tradition is spending time enjoying the beautiful Fall weather while gathering bright, colorful apples for whatever recipe I’m dreaming up inside my head.

This year, that recipe was my delicious Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Blondie Skillet. It is a gooey combination of salty and sweet, making it the perfect Fall dessert recipe!

While all of this may sound like your ideal Saturday afternoon, you may be thinking, “what the heck do I wear to pick apples”? Obviously, you want to wear something that is both practical and cute.

Isn’t that the ultimate goal of any situation?

Personally, every year that I’ve gone apple picking, I feel like I’ve gotten better at determining what wardrobe pieces meet my functionality and Instagram-worthy criteria. This year, I wanted to show you how to start with 3 basic essentials (jeans, a bodysuit, and boots) and transform them into 2 different looks using either a blanket scarf or a vest.
