Colorful Tweed for Spring

Is there anything better than a flirty and feminine daytime dress? I think not.

You know that I love getting dolled up for date nights with the hubs, but looking put-together and confident during the day is just as important to me. Anytime that I can throw on a mini dress and heels for a brunch date, to run around in meetings downtown, or enjoy a “me-day”, I am all for it. As dressy as it may sound, it’s surprisingly less work than putting together a styled pants and blouse combo.

This tweed number (under $70) by ChicWish has quickly become one of my favorite wardrobe staples, and I am loving the transition from Winter with black tights and a jacket, to Spring with a simple pair of nude pumps and my pink Chanel purse.

I love how this dress has a fit and flare design with a collar and bow built in. The details truly speak for themselves, so you don’t need a whole bunch of added accessories to make the outfit pop.

Sticking with light pinks and neutral shades is your best bet for styling this classy look in warmer temperatures.

Sam and I shot this outfit at the gorgeous Greenworks Florist storefront during our weekend in DC at Avenue Suites Georgetown. It is located in a charming neighborhood with pastel-lined houses and picturesque coffee shops. I highly recommend making a stop next time you’re in town!
