Valentine's Day Inspired Gift Ideas

Valentines day outfit ideas

Call it a Hallmark holiday all you want, Valentine’s Day is truly one of my favorite holidays all year. Any excuse for me to wear pretty pink and red hearts, indulge in a little extra chocolate, and get all mushy-gushy with Sam gets an automatic “yes” from me.

Thankfully, Sam and I are both hopeless romantics, so naturally we take Valentine’s Day very seriously every year. Whether that is with handwritten letters, a 3-course homemade meal, a mini getaway, or spoiling each other with thoughtful gifts, we always find a way to make the day a little extra special.

This year, since Valentine’s Day falls on the Friday immediately after NYFW, Sam and I planned a romantic and relaxing weekend getaway to de-stress. The Outer Banks has quickly become our favorite place to sneak away to, unplug from our phones, and simply reconnect with each other. Oliver has fallen in love with the empty beaches and quiet mornings just as much as we have, so I think we are all equally excited to spend Valentine’s Day weekend there.

With that being said, I have always found Valentine’s Day to be a holiday about love in general - not only with your partner. I don’t believe that you need to be in a relationship for this holiday to hold importance for you or for it to be a day that you look forward to each year.

Celebrating love for yourself and showing a little extra appreciation to the people in your life that continue to support and love you can go a long way. Whether that looks like planning an evening of luxurious self-care at home, a movie night with your best girlfriends, or a lunch date with your Mom, I think that Valentine’s Day can be just as meaningful when you are single.

Personally, I have a tradition of spoiling myself with 1 special gift (usually something I’ve been eyeing for awhile and would make me proud to buy myself). I also love to surprise some of the important women in my life with a small, yet thoughtful gift just to brighten up their day and let them know how much I appreciate their support throughout the year.

Without further ado, today I’m sharing my favorite affordable gift ideas for Valentine's Day to spoil yourself, your man, and/or your besties with starting at $15!
