How to Recreate the 5 Most Talked About Beauty Trends from NYFW

New York Fashion Week may be behind us, but the beauty and fashion trends that emerged during the iconic shows and presentations are still being raved about weeks later. To no surprise, I found myself overwhelmed by inspiration as I took a moment to soak it all in for the first time during my long train ride home.

As I stood only feet away from Rebecca Minkoff and admired her vibrant and bold new collection being presented in front of me, I couldn’t help but find myself drawn even more so to the beauty being showcased. The boho braids, peach-toned cheeks, and watercolor eyeshadow gave me all the real life inspo I normally search for via Pinterest. More than anything, I couldn’t wait to test out these beauty tricks myself.

This season in particular, I set out to answer the question, “How can we, as everyday women, find practical use for the trends showcased by these innovative designers?

Sometimes the makeup and hair on the runway models can be entirely too costume-like or dramatic for my taste. Draping a sheer sheet over my face or drawing bold, black eyeliner down my nose for a Saturday dinner date with the hubs doesn’t quite have the same effect that strutting down a glamorous runway does.

However, there are other times when I think the designer and their makeup/hair team totally nailed it in a realistic and attainable way.

So, without further ado, from my personal favorite (Rebecca Minkoff) to a little on the edgier side of beauty (Tadashi), I wanted to share the 5 most raved about beauty trends from New York Fashion Week alongside tutorials and affordable products you can use to recreate these looks yourself.
