Affordable Summer Vacation Style Guide
Raise your hand if you've been personally victimized by the Winter. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we are well-deserving of a fun Summer vacation after the crazy weather we endured this past year. Summer is quickly approaching and I know you babes want to look fabulous, whether you're low-key lounging poolside at your apartment complex, or you're on the beach of Maui (p.s. just know I'm jealous). I can't blame you if you're looking forward to a smooth Pina Colada and that perfectly Insta-worthy shot.
Our Summer vacation this year is actually our honeymoon, and being the #brideonabudget that I currently am, I knew that I would be shopping for pieces that wouldn't break the bank. A few nights ago on Instagram stories, I did a quick poll to see what type of guide ya'll would be more interested in, and it seemed to be split between the under $50 and under $100, so I decided to do both! Who says you can't be like Nutella and make everyone happy? Not this girl. I told Sam sorry for his luck, but the people have spoken and I needed to shop double-time over the holiday weekend to make it happen.
Personally, when I think of vacation style, I immediately picture colorful prints, flowy dresses, ruffles, and eye-catching statement pieces. Summer vacation is a time to relax, have fun, and get creative with your outfits!
A lot of these items I've linked are actually dupes (duplicates*) of high-end designer pieces - like the Cult Gaia Ark Bag. I found the exact same design on Amazon for $40 (the real one is over $200) and now that I have it myself, I can say it is one of my favorite Summer purchases of all time. I've seen first-hand the quality of the copy-cat designs and, honestly, I'm impressed. It's shocking (and a little scary) that I almost paid 5 times the amount for an identical product, minus the logo. Other items that I've linked in this post I either have on my wishlist or they are already on their way to me now.
Something I've always dreaded buying is bathing suits for vacation because I hate spending over $100 on tiny little fabric that I'm undoubtedly going to spill red sangria on at some point anyway. This year, instead of splurging on those pieces, I found incredible dupes starting at just $7 and I seriously could not be more excited about it. I must say that, despite my "wedding budget mindset", it is going to be one fashionable Summer.
Now, are ya'll ready for me to stop rambling and get to shopping? Below are my favorite affordable styles for your Summer vacation. Enjoy!
