Outfit Ideas for Friendsgiving

In my eyes, Friendsgiving is like the chic, older sister of Thanksgiving. Of course, you still want to be comfortable enough to eat your weight in pie, but you also want to show off your gorgeous legs downtown after a few drinks or, at the very least, in an Insta-worthy group photo. I got you, girl.

I already revealed our plans for our big “2019 Thanksgiving tour” back in the city this year, so you may know that I planned my outfits pretty much a month in advance. What can I say? It’s going to be a busy month of travel and events for us and I like to be prepared.

I decided on this mini blazer dress with a classic houndstooth pattern and chiffon sleeves for the occasion. In my opinion, the pattern practically screams “Fall” and it is a loose fit with a tie waist so I can adjust as necessary. It’s also the perfect length for my signature nude pointed toe pumps.

The dress typically comes in 2 colors, but the lighter shade is currently sold out (follow along on Instagram for a restock notification). The brown/black combo is under $75 at the moment, making it a budget-friendly and effortless choice.

All you need to recreate this look is a simple wool beret (under $30 and comes in 7 colors), classic heels, vintage-style sunglasses, and a clutch (shop my checkered LV dupe here).

If you really want to take it up a notch, I recommend adding a bold red or maroon lipstick to make this look pop.
