DIY Chanel Ribbon Hat
This is by far the quickest and easiest DIY project you’ll find all Summer! My do-it-yourself Chanel Ribbon Hat does not require any sewing, scissors, or glue. All you need for this simple upcycle is a ribbon of your choice and a hat you already own!
Today’s DIY project takes about 2 minutes total, costs $9, and has the ability to totally transform your outfit with a fun statement piece. It is an incredibly affordable way to repurpose and reuse any hat you feel is in need of a little style refresh.
The reason I wanted to create a no-sew fashion DIY for this ribbon is because I want to reuse it year-round for other hats, a simple tied ponytail bow, gift wrapping detail, and I also have a few home ideas that I could add this ribbon to (like jazzing up a simple white candle).
This authentic Chanel ribbon comes in 3 sizes in white (3/8”, 5/8” or 3/4”) and black (3/8”, 5/8” or 3/4”). They are truly one of the most versatile purchases I’ve made this year and they cost me less than $10 per order. Each ribbon has free shipping worldwide and comes precut in orders of 1 yard (36 inches).
For this specific DIY project, I used the Authentic Chanel Classic White II" 5/8" Satin Ribbon with Black logo from Etsy. I did not cut, sew, or glue the ribbon at all for this project; it was already the perfect length for my wide-brim straw hat.

DIY Chanel Ribbon Hat
Materials:
Authentic Chanel Classic White II" 5/8" Satin Ribbon with Black logo (or any ribbon you prefer)
Instructions:
Place ribbon around the brim of your hat. Make sure the ribbon is lying flat and is not too tight.
Take the even ends of the ribbon and tie into a simple knot (or bow) in the back of the hat. Enjoy!
*If your hat already has a ribbon around the brim, carefully remove it before starting step 1.
While we were away in Saint Michaels over the weekend, I styled my DIY hat with a white bathing suit, button-down shirt, and sunglasses for a minimal, monochromatic look.
