Warm and Pretty Coats to Get You Through the Winter
Imagine slipping into the most gorgeous outfit you’ve ever seen and then having having to cover it up with a drab, bulky jacket. Tragic, right?
If only the weather could cooperate with our style preferences, we’d be solid. Unfortunately, Mother Nature quite frankly doesn’t give a shit about our glam outfits or even the fact that maaaybe once in a while we’d like to walk downtown without the potential of getting frostbite on our noses.
Needless to say, having a chic (yet warm) coat this season is essential. I made it my personal goal this Winter to be more practical in regards to dressing for the weather. As you can imagine, coming from someone who has historically worn open-toe high heels, strapless jumpsuits, and mini skirts in the snow, Sam was very pleased when I announced this resolution to him.
This year, I have become so laser-focused on this new way of dressing that the number 1 item I have added to my wardrobe over the past several months have been coats. Now, I need to note that they haven’t just been any old, basic coats either. I have become a self-proclaimed expert on finding the prettiest and warmest coats on a budget in any given store.
My personal favorite at the moment happens to be this nude pink belted coat with a removable faux fur lined collar from ChicWish. It is under $100 and true to size; I am wearing an XS.

I styled this coat with a pink satin midi skirt, white V-neck bodysuit, and nude pointed toe pumps. With the gold delicate details on the coat already, the look didn’t need much when it came to accessories, so I simply layered 2 thin necklaces and rounded it out with my vintage Kate Spade purse.
